I Can't Get My Cat to Eat This,
April 10, 2013
My dear sweet 16 year old cat will not eat even a tiny taste of this! I don't care about the cost, I just want her to get better. I tried both dry food and canned (Hills y/d). She runs away from me when I try to feed her. The first day she ate a few nuggets of the dry and a few bites of the canned but for three days now, nothing. Is there any way you could add more protein to entice older cats to eat this product? I think if this product had more protein cats would eat it gladly.

hill's felin yd,
March 09, 2013
i just would like to say that my "makka makka, the fire craker" has been on this for the past month and what an impressive product. max was a hefty cat, at one point weighing about 26lbs. he then went down to 11lbs and brought him to his doctor to find out what was wrong. come to find out, of course, hypothyroid. i can tell a major difference in how he looks and feels. thankyou hills for creating such healthy foods.

Thankful, very thankful!,
October 11, 2012
Y/D cat food saved my baby's life. My baby is my 10 yr. old tabby named Mango. He did not tolerate the dry formula but loves the canned! He is literally back to perfect health. I would sacrifice some of the "junk" food I eat to be able to buy this food for my baby. Thank you Hill's!

Hill's YD for a finicky feline,
June 08, 2012
Our 13 yr old cat is finicky. She didn't do well on the thyroid medicine. I dreaded spending money on the Hill's y/d but with a money back guarantee, I felt it worth a try before going a more drastic route. She didn't seem to like the texture, so I added a little more water to it. She loved it and has been eating only this for almost 3 wks now. She's acting more herself and has gained almost 2 pounds. We're all very happy and just pray that she'll continue to do as well.

Our Yellow Tabby is Playful Again!,
January 05, 2012
Our 8 year old female cat was losing weight and didn't want to play anymore. After our veternarian's tests, we were recommended Hills Prescription Diet Feline y/d Thyroid Health. We gave her both the canned and the dry. After a week or two our beautiful yellow tabby stopped losing weight and she is playful again. Her coat is healthy and her eyes are bright. She won't eat the canned food by itself, but if we mix a little of our previous cat food with the Prescription Diet, she will eat it. We think that's almost perfect! The food is pricey, but our cat is part of the family.
