Pet owners love to give their pets treats, but treats are often restricted for dogs on special diets. Gentle Snackers® offers a highly palatable solution. These unique treats are based on Purina Veterinary Diets® HA HypoAllergenic® brand Canine Formula and can be safely given to dogs with food allergies and/or sensitive gastrointestinal tracts.
Diet Characteristics
Gentle Snackers® Hypoallergenic Canine Treats have been formulated to achieve the following characteristics:
- Low molecular weight
- Single hydrolyzed protein source
- Easily digested
- Exceptionally palatable
Medical Indications
Treats with these nutritional modifications are recommended for the following:
- Dogs on novel protein or hypoallergenic diets
- Dogs on gastrointestinal tract diets
- Dogs with sensitive gastrointestinal tracts
- Dogs on HA HypoAllergenic®, LA Limited Antigen®, or EN GastroENteric® brand canine formulas
- Normal healthy dogs

Feeding and Administration
The caloric intake from biscuits should not exceed 10% of a dog’s total daily caloric requirement. If treats are given, the amount of food should be reduced accordingly.
